IN 2025, SLEEPYHEAD PROUDLY CELEBRATES 90 years of making beds for Kiwis and 12 consecutive years of winning the Trusted Brands award.

As Sleepyhead honours the legacy that began in an Auckland tin shed in 1935, it is also investing in the future with the $1.2 billion Sleepyhead Estate in Ōhinewai. Construction continues on the state-of-the-art bedding factory, which will operate alongside New Zealand’s largest foam plant to produce Sleepyhead beds for sale nationwide. The Estate will also support a vibrant community with homes, retail, jobs, and transport infrastructure, bringing a welcome economic boost to the North Waikato region.

After nearly a century of bed-making, innovation remains at the heart of the brand. Every year Sleepyhead continues to introduce revolutionary new bed designs and mattress technologies, developed in New Zealand and designed from the ground up to meet the needs of Kiwi sleepers.
